ECUMENICAL CHURCH OF PUEBLO WEST PASTORAL COUNSELING & CARE MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT TO PROMOTE BIBLICAL AND SPIRITUAL SOLUTIONS TO COMMON PROBLEMS TO PROVIDE EXCELLENCE IN CHRIST - CENTERED COUNSELING CARE TO ALL WHO NEED IT REGARDLESS OF THEIR RACE, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC STATUS, OR DENOMINATIONAL BELIEFS. TO GLORIFY GOD AND SHARE OUR COMMITMENT TO THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHIRST WITH A NEEDY NATION. TO GENERATE MEASURABLE BENEFITS FOR: THE PEOPLE OF PUEBLO WEST, THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY, SUPPORTIVE MINISTRIES, AND THE LOCAL CHURCH Statement of Faith We believe that God exists in three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is the righteous Father of the whole redeemed family in heaven and earth. We believe that Jesus Christ is true God, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father, and was fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died, and was bodily resurrected to ascend to the Father, and shall return in power and glory. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, righteousness and judgement, and personally indwells believers to enlighten, comfort, and empower them. We believe that the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God. They reveal God's will for the salvation of men and are trustworthy for faith and life. We believe that man was created in the image of God; through disobedience he incurred both physical and spiritual death. Man is reconciled to God and redeemed through the atonement of Jesus Christ who was crucified until dead, as He personally bore man's sin at Calvary, the just dying for the sins of the unjust. Those who place their trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are born of the Holy Spirit unto eternal life. Counseling Staff Support Groups
