Pueblo West Christian Academy
"Committed to Spiritual and
Academic Excellence!"
"...for in Him we live and move
and exist..." (Acts 17:28)
Curriculum
The greatest curriculum that a school can possess is the teacher. Our teachers
are committed to excellence in the areas of academic training as well as the
spiritual guidance and growth of each individual child.
PWCA strongly promotes the "triangular learning" process in its regiment. The
teacher, the parent, as well as the child are all integral sides and equal parts
of the educational process.
P.W.C.A. Benefits
Promethean ACTIVboard enables teachers to design and deliver instruction,
which follows the "backward design" approach to curriculum development.
Encourages student participation.
Is student driven but starts based.
Allows for whole group formative assessment as an integral part of the lesson.

PWCA is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
and is Biblically based, Christian, educational system. Jesus Christ is the
focal point of the educational process. PWCA fosters the Joshua 1:8-9 principal
that each day the Bible should be taught to the students.
Faculty: Each Teacher must possess many qualities. First and foremost,
they are all Christians. Teachers must also possess a four year degree. Our
teachers have either certification through ACSI or a State of Colorado teaching
license.
Field Trips: PWCA will take several field trips through out the year.
Dress Standards: As a "Christian" Academy it is necessary to be "a cut
above" the norms of any given community. PWCA strives for Biblical excellence.
The dress standards are no exception. PWCA does not require uniforms, however
modesty is the key Biblical principle for our dress standards. PWCA believes
that appearance influences performance and the classroom atmosphere.
